چکیده

Press formed products have recently been applied widely in various structures. forming is a mass production method that used to manufacture many machine components such as automobiles, industrial machinery, and plants. However, there limit the degree of shape freedom can be applied, so measures against cracks, wrinkles, spring-back, etc., must taken development process. It well known it difficult apply economically case small-lot because its high capital investment. The previous report shows folding line processing by press / bending has freedom, requires little investment, expected for experiments prototypes, commercial from small production. This paper using V-shaped punch deformation induction based on impact crushing square steel tubes/ aluminum thin wall cylinders FEM results. To improve energy absorption performance event collision, notches uneven surfaces called beads crush boxes front side members automobile parts manufactured forming. bead role inducing during axial forming, addition difficulty die design/manufacturing, needs correct design after prototypes. very convenient effective adjust only setting lines arrangement, not along lines. box development.

Cushioning Systems for Impact Energy Absorption

In this paper we investigate the use of an innovative sheet folding theory and technology in the design of new cushioning systems. Flat sheets of material are folded into three dimensional patterns. The effectiveness of the folded pattern in absorbing impact energy without subjecting items being cushioned to high acceleration is dependent on the sheet material, the fold configuration (number of...

Effective Search of the Energy Landscape for Protein Folding

We propose a new algorithmic approach for global optimization in protein folding. We use the information found in various local minima to direct the search for the global minimum. In this way, we explore the energy landscape efficiently by considering only the space of local minima instead of the whole feasible space of conformations. Our fundamental approach is to sample only the space of loca...

Effective Computational Reuse for Energy Evaluations in Protein Folding

Predicting native conformations using computational protein models requires a large number of energy evaluations even with simplified models such as hydrophobichydrophilic (HP) models. Clearly, energy evaluations constitute a significant portion of computational time. We hypothesize that given the structured nature of algorithms that search for candidate conformations such as stochastic methods...

Effective stochastic dynamics on a protein folding energy landscape.

We present an approach to protein folding kinetics using stochastic reaction-coordinate dynamics, in which the effective drift velocities and diffusion coefficients are determined from microscopic simulation data. The resultant Langevin equation can then be used to directly simulate the folding process. Here, we test this approach by applying it to a toy two-state dynamical system and to a funn...

The effective energy in the Allen–Cahn model with deformation

The sharp interface limit of a diffuse interface theory of phase transitions is considered in static situations. The diffuse interface model is of the Allen–Cahn type with deformation, with a parameter ε measuring the width of the interface. Equilibrium states of a given elongation and a given interface width are considered and the asymptotics for ε r 0 of the equilibrium energy is determined. ...
